Jun Li’s Research on Women Entrepreneurs Accepted by Premier Management Journal
Professor Jun Li’s latest research, Utilize Time with Ease: Women Entrepreneurs’ Polychronicity and Resilience — co-authored with Zhuxin Ye, Xiying Song, and Tracy Qiao — has been accepted for publication in the Management and Organization Review (MOR) as part of its special issue on Advancing Temporal Research in Chinese Management.
The study explores how polychronicity — a preference for multitasking — affects the resilience of women entrepreneurs. Drawing on a two-stage survey, the researchers found that women who favor multitasking tend to be more resilient, particularly when they face frequent interruptions or have prior entrepreneurial experience.
The research also highlights the amplifying role of emotional intelligence, suggesting that both cognitive and emotional adaptability are key to thriving in entrepreneurial environments.
Management and Organization Review is the official journal of the International Association for Chinese Management Research and is recognized as a leading source of insights on management and organizations in China and comparative global contexts. MOR received a “3” rating from the UK’s Association of Business Schools (ABS) in 2021, was ranked an “A” journal by the Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) in 2019, and is listed in Group 1 of ESSEC Business School Paris’ journal quality index, denoting it as a “high-level scientific journal of international reputation.”
