 Billur Akdeniz is a Professor of Marketing and Faculty Director of Executive Education at the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics. Her research focuses on marketing strategy, with expertise in new product development, innovation management, and international marketing. She is the author of International Marketing in a Changing World: A Managerial Guidebook published by Business Expert Press in August 2025. Her research appeared in premier journals, including the Academy of Management JournalJournal of the Academy of Marketing Science, and International Journal of Research in Marketing. In Fall 2023, she was a visiting research scholar at NEOMA Business School in France.

She currently serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Product Innovation Management and the Journal of Business Research (Innovation & Technology track). She is also a member of the Editorial Review Boards of the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Industrial Marketing Management, and International Business Review. She has received Outstanding Reviewer Awards from JAMS and JPIM. She has also served as a Guest Editor for multiple special issues.

Billur teaches marketing analytics, international marketing, and marketing management at the undergraduate and MBA programs, both in-person and online. Her teaching has been recognized with the Paul College Excellence in Teaching Award and the Best Online MBA Teacher award.

She held several administrative roles, including Faculty Director of Strategy for the MBA Program and Interim Director of the Online/Hybrid MBA Program. She was a Faculty Fellow at the Center for Business Analytics and with UNH ADVANCE, an NSF-funded initiative promoting equitable faculty policies and leadership development. She is an active member of the American Marketing Association and the Academy of Marketing Science.
